Our family has been in the Joinery & Cabinet Making business in Victoria since the early 80s. In 2004 we opened a factory in Brisbane and the rest is history!

The hands-on owner and director of Distinctive Kitchens is Damijan Kovacevic who grew up helping his father create beautifully crafted cabinetry in Victoria. He started his official apprenticeship in 1996, married a Brisbane girl in 2004, moved to Brisbane and started Distinctive Kitchens in the same year.
Our Philosophy
Our success and longevity are based on a simple philosophy that Damijan’s father taught him when he was a lad. This is to focus on building real relationships with people. He said that you can make a real difference in people’s lives when you create beautiful designs and deliver outstanding value. Even more importantly, he emphasised that you should treat every project, no matter how big or small, as if it was for your own home.

This option is ideal for homeowners who live outside Brisbane or who have a limited budget. We provide detailed plans for your kitchen renovation and you arrange for the cabinetry and installation locally.
